Hi! I noticed you helped someone out with some coding questions. I’m just wondering how you started your layout, did you base it off another code or did you make it from scratch? It seems so complex! Thanks in advance xoxo

hi! my layout is 100% from scratch! basically, I start with an idea in my head and do my best to make it come to life. that’s not to say I didn’t use any references while coding; I am pretty much always referencing W3Schools and other resources for help. I also used a css grid generator to help me out with the positioning of the main elements on my page. it’s not very complex of a code at all, either — feel free to right click and show page source to see how I did things (you should do that anytime you come across a site you like to study the code!). the bulk of my code is absolute positioning all the little .pngs around my page 😂

I love your page! Any tip for navigating making your own neocities website as a total beginner to code? I’m hopelessly lost. P.S. hi, thank you so much! I am not Habesha, I just love the cuisine! I am actually mixed Parsi & Ashkenazi Jewish :) as for coding tips, I am probably not the best person to ask because my knowledge has been a very piecemeal, learn-as-I-go journey from a young age.
