Hey Ate Firozah! You probably don't remember me, but I'm Prue_the_Hobbit. I left a comment on your guestbook back in September when I was just starting out on Neocities, and you replied with some really encouraging words — told me to keep building and not get discouraged. Just wanted to say thanks. That comment honestly stuck with me, and I still think about it whenever I'm tinkering with my site. It's been about a year now and I'm still here, which I'm not sure would've happened without that little push. So yeah, it meant a lot. Hope you're doing well! — Prue

I also just finished reading children of memory, and too felt it was the weakest so far in the series, though i did enjoy it. I was a fan of the way Tchaikovsky expands the definitions and understandings of consciousness. I'm also a fan of his ability to switch up the narration style and reliability from chapter to chapter depending on the character the narrative is following. Though i initially found Liff's perspectives difficult to follow from the overlapping and contradictory events, once i caught on to what was happening i found myself enjoying her parts near the end as the simulation is fracturing. Pulling Liff out of the sim felt a little forced to me, and left the ending feeling odd. I have not yet read the newest entry but am looking forward to it.

i read your entry about being laid off. my mother got laid off the day after your entry. i'm sorry that happened to you and i totally understand the feeling of being out of the loop on business/company matters. it can feel so lonely. my mother was so overworked and underpaid as well and felt that same pressure of timelines being applied to her but not those above her. sending you much love and strength because you're not alone.
